Today's projects

Got valve, timing gear covers & real wheel newly powder coated installed along with a new tire. Also modified my mic-o-pegs shortening the length of travel.

I played swap compartment locks on my 1500. The previous owner said some kids tried to open the lock compartment with a screwdriver. They also did the fuel door, too. Some picking and fiddling with the compartment got it open. Silicone spray got the fuel door working better, not so with the other. So I swapped that lock, with one from my 1200. (That one was pulled off by me. Found out, with the box out, that gave me road atlas room.) That will work until I replace the lock.

Worked on the son's GL1100 a little today, finally found some new O-Rings for the intakes. Hoping to get the carbs back on this weekend and get it going.

Red face First Ride in a year

Today marks the first time I have been on a m/c since Mardonna was admitted to hospital August of last year.

She never saw home again, and passed on while still at Post Acute Medical Surgical hospital.

I left at 07:30 and got back home at 13:45 with the temp at 83* which is my limit since I got hurt in 2008.

Here is a link to SPOT tracking which drops a footprint every 10 minutes if it can see a satellite.

I guess it was a pretty good ride after 10 months, I am sure it was great therapy too, good to know you are back on 2 wheels John!

I feel your pain... I did take the 450 out to run for tools and supplies for the 1200.
