I hope that just allowed it to idle a good long while, before driving off?

and, a good Synthetic 5w or 10w is better.

my car and truck have 5w40 full synthetic, as does my bike

Yes I did... 20 minute warm up.... 5 minute ride to work. Repeat for 3 days straight. How boring, but we all survived. Today, we will be in the single digits... then on Sunday, maybe 40?!?! What a temp swing. No wonder why everyone is sick at work! (Only 48 days till Spring)

Yeah,
here, being retired, I am staying inside as much as possible to avoid the crowds and the spittle floating thru the air.

we don't go much anymore, since it turned off really cold, just because we want to avoid the colds, flu, etc...

Well, today I removed to SCC from the WING. Drained the oil, (gas soaked). Pulled the Original 4s out of the box and started to clean and recheck floats. Im thinking this was the best choice,(originals) since when I pulled the runners off, gas had pooled in the tubes. Not much, but enough to go boom if the right conditions were met. I did manage to find some slides and caps for the carbs, (just waiting for delivery). So, over the next couple of weeks, I will put it all back together.
Oh, by the way, we hit 26*F to day! Tomorrow 39*. Monday rain on top of snow!!! yikes. Tues 17*

Well today I removed the secondaries from the Blue 1200, finished bleeding clutch and brakes. Also synchronized the carbs, and put plastics on. Also talked to my oldest son and said Happy Early Birthday, the blue one will be his.

wasn't the Wing, but at 62 and Cloudy

we went out front and pulled up six of those T-bar fence stakes.....
that winded me a lot, having just sat in a recliner all winter.

Funny, I don't remember that old Blue Hi-Lift jack taking so much energy to use before??
Wrapped a log chain around the T-stake and loop over the jack tongue and use that jack handle....
oh, I am winded now....

When you do miles and miles of fence ever trick helps. Love our 2cycle driver we bought will drive in rock I think! Changed the oil and filter on my Black GL1200 today, they only had 2 spark plugs but that will happen Monday or Tuesday, bought another quart of DOT4 to replace the fluids next week as well.

We used the Golf Cart hooked to my big motorcycle trailer..... that trailer gets used as a utility trailer far more than it has ever hauled motorcycles....

Placed the spare trailer tire laid down flat on the rear center of the trailer.
Dropped the log chain down around the T-post and circled it 3 times.
Draped the chain up and over the tire, and tied it to the front rail of the trailer.

Hit the 'gas pedal' and those big 6 volt batteries jerked those T-posts right out of the ground.
what a relief it was.... that Hi-Lift jack was killing me. We pulled up 15 posts today, then had to pull all the Christmas lights out of the trees and off the cyclone fence....

Temp hit 68F and we had to get the high priority work done before tomorrows' 30F temps hit.

20 more T-posts and the front yard will look clean with that barbed wire fence gone.
also, it will be much easier to mow the grass down and over the edges of the berm.
