Looks like y'all in the South East USA are in luck.

Those of us that haunt the Southwest - not so. AZ/CA are not even on the list of states.

Those who might have bothered to read my gas log for the Florida trip? May have noted that I bought some "pure gasoline" a few times.

Wow! did the ole wing ever thrive on that stuff

Um, er, uh, the MPG log showed that RPM and headwinds effected the MPG more so than the kind of fuel it consumed.

So, my ole outdoor laboratory failed miserably in proving that "pure gas" is better.

"Gasohol" was a wild concept when I was a kid.

Corn? ...for gas? ...Who was it that got that rolling, Carter?

I like corn on my plate. It tastes good and is good for you.

I use Jerry's in Odenville Al., it's listed.
Isn't pure gas better for multi carbed engines as the alkohol gums them up ?

BTW.. If you're looking for gas that is completely free of Ethanol, then you'll probably have to go to you're local GA airport for some MoGas.. If a station has a fuel delivery and dumps a load into a tank, then it will mix with whatever was in the tank from the previous load. I don't know of any station willing to let their tanks get so low as to stir up sediment from a fresh load and risk a pump repair...

I'd be a little skeptical about the information on that site. Someone listed a Casey's General Store in Ottawa, KS as having 89 octane that was ethanol free. If it is, it's the only Casey's I've seen like that.

On my wife's truck, I have a programmer that I use to step up the performance during her horse season when she's pulling the trailer a bunch. When I do this, she has to move up to at least 89 octane gas as it will tend to ping a bit on 87. We've bought a lot of gas at Casey's and I've never seen one that didn't have ethanol in their 89 octane gas.

Moral of story -- if not using ethanol is really important to you, don't accept what's listed on that site as Gospel.

I have a gas station on that list that is 12 miles away from me. I fill up there anytime it is practical. They DO advertise as ethanol free

All I can tell you is my MPG has gone up by about 10% and my wing no longer coughs and spits at very low throttle. It did occasionally on e-10, it doesn't do it at all now.

Sure, its 30 cents a gallon more, but to me, its worth it.
