Just trying to find out why my insurance has doubled in two years. Now paying $235.00 a year for basic coverage. My agent said it was due to the age of my wing 83 1100 aspencade. So what do you pay

Count yourselves lucky.

Here the Guberment mandated minimum coverage which can only be gotten from the Guberment runs me $911 a year.

I could get that down to about $250 with a Collector plate but then I'd have to insure another vehicle at $1,000 or more.

Advise given here is free and comes with no warranty "Caveat emptor"

Ken.

230.00 a year through Allstate. Just got this new policy when I got the 1800 last month.
Before that I was paying around 400.00 a year thru geico for my 1500. These were/are full coverage policies. I guess a good driving record and getting older is good for something.

If I had paid my premium in full at Allstate it was like 205.00 per year. Instead i took the monthly payment option.

Rides ive owned/own

84 1200 Interstate
05 1100 V-Star

Nice to see the government run insurance is working well in BC. Didn't they bring that in a few years ago to put an end to the greedy private insurance companiesripping everybody off? One province over from you and I pay $130 or so to a private company.

Wasn't it Ringo Starr who once said "Everything the government touches turns to crap"?
