I bought the bike on March 23rd and it had 78,000 miles on the odometer. Today it rolled over to 90,000 miles. That 12,000 miles in seven months.I have not been on any cross country trips or even an over night trip. Everything has been day trips, all though some were all-day trips.

So my question is this: Is 1,700 miles a month too much fun?

Today I bought and installed a Markland backrest and realized in a hurry, that riding is going to be a whole lot more comfortable with the backrest!

Brian, As I am sure you are well aware....there is no such thing as TOO MUCH fun!!

I had similar stats this year as well although I think I got in a few longer trips than you did. I'm at 14K since the end of May.

Thats a pretty good amount of fun. Best I've done in one year so far is 15,000,,,,,, 6,400 of that was the trip to NASSIR-2 in Montrose.

I don't get the time to have as much of the fun I'd like.

The things I liked,,,,I\'ve tried em twice!

It is too much fun when you need to be home Wednesday and are 1,000 miles away on Monday. Home is to the West, and you think that nice 600 mile ride to the East is still do-able!

Well, at least I do not have to be home Wednesday, though I am 1,000 miles from home, looking at another thing to do, and tomorrow is Monday.

Nope, I not had too much fun yet.

I'm close to 30,000 for the year so you have not had too much fun yet.

Picked this up in April of this year and have put about 6K on it. More next year now I'm used to it, and a backrest........, best accessory you can find, IMO.

I put just over 11k on my wing since late April. I would have put more on her if my wife didn't brake her ankel minutes before leaving for our vacation up in the Adarondak mtns. Well she had a 3 inch plate and 8 screws put in so I had limited riding time for the next 7 weeks. I figured I would of had 2 of maybe 3 more k on her if this didn't happened. Her summer wasn't too must fun but I had a hell of a good time putting 11 plus k on my wing, she also just ticked over 130k on the clock and that was my goal for this season and I did it. I feel, when riding a wing you can have fun but NEVER have too much fun!

Can there be too much fun? Oh absolutely..and it can have serious side effects. I'd suggest you begin a regimen of melancholy and anti-euphoric activities (watching the Yankees go down in the recent pennant race for example), or as an alternative, selecting a random moment in each day and telling yourself "O.K. from now until bedtime...no laughing allowed!" Good luck to you.

Enjoy everything in moderation......including moderation.

Shiny Side Up !
