My friend Frank heard I was building a bike and brought over a load of parts.

The front end is a Can Am front. I'm afraid it's far too long to use although several of my friends and I discussed several possibilities. The neck diameter is the perfect .999" diameter to make the tapered bearing conversion using $10 trailer wheel bearings, but it's about two and a half inches too long. The fork tubes? Forget it! About a foot too long and no really good way to fix them. The triple trees however haven't been voted out quite yet. In the mean time I'm twiddling my thumbs waiting on a UPS shipment. An Itialian thing from 1970. Also a donation from a friend. I'm thinking it may be the one that will work. This one is a good front end, just way too long. Thank you Frank. You never know, I may wanna build a dirt bike someday.

I've always wanted to build motorcycles inside the house.

I feel like a kid!
