I found out from Honda Direct Line that Emco has discontinued production of the fuel filters for GL1500's. Apparently the new manufacturer's
quality was not up to Emco standards so they chose to discontinue the filter altogether.

That means that the only option will be the stock Honda filters…. at a much higher cost. If you find someone that's got the old filters in stock you might want to buy a few extra for future use.

This also might include the GL1000/1100/1200 fuel filters also but I don't know for sure.

No loss, just get a NAPA 3011

Much cheaper anyway.

It will work and fit WITH some mods. its a bit bigger around. i used a nut to level things out a bit. also a longer bolt (replaced screw) it has both 1/4 and 5/16 ends. the shell is on the thin side .it will slide a bit in the holder . but not with out pushing on it and the mounting bracket. it does not rattle around in the bracket. shown in this pic is the spacer nut and longer screw (bolt).

That might be ok for an 1000/1100/1200(like the one in the picture) but the 1500 is a 3/8" inlet and the amount of space available is limited. Plus I like the looks of a stock filter.

Just trying to inform ya all of some new info.

Thanks for the update Ray. I got me 4 OEM Honda filters stashed, got them half price. I reckon they will last me a while.
