Just wondering who here has gotten the most out of their investment.

Women will never be equal to men until they can walk down the street with a bald head and a beer gut, and still think they are sexy.

38,000 on a Moto Guzzi, not all trouble free miles I have to admit.

I have put on 1,028 mi on in 12 hrs.

My current bike had 20,380 showing on the clock when I picked it up in Nov of 07. I got to ride it for 2 days before putting it away for the winter. Our riding season here is typically 8 months, tops.

My bike now has 120, 385 showing on the clock and I didn't even get out for one of my 'tours' last year.

Mine would be classified as a 'low mileage model' as there are lots of others here, with lots more miles on the clock, than mine!

I bought my '93 with about 60,000 miles on it and sold italmost sixyears later with 140,000 miles on the odometer. I'm not putting as much on my 1800 because it's sharing the garage with the Silverwing. I've had the 1800 since May last year and only put 5500 miles on it so far. The Silverwingran up about 3000 miles in the past ten months. Gotta get going this summer.

By averaging 110mph on the Super Slabs.

Toatl time was 12 1/2hrs, as I stopped once for close to 1/2 hr to eat at Pointer "F" on my route.

I left at 8am and returned by 8:30pm.

I don't drive that fast, for that far/longa stretch anymore, ... wellexcept for 2 years ago, on I 90 in WY, where I sucked through a tank of gas in just over 87 mi. Can you say ... WFO?

If you look at my sig line you'll see the miles I put on my MotoGuzzi. I rebuild the cylinders twice in 60,000 before I got wise and had the cylinders bored out and sleeved with a steel sleeve. The rest of the miles were on just normal maintenance.

Bought my Yamaha Martini XS1100 brand new in 1978. So far it's been round the clock 3 times, thats 300,000 miles. 200.000 miles of that it's had a three seater sidecar attached. Still got it and it runs fine. Uses a little oil but I can live with that. Have a solo XS1100 with 300,000 miles, also runs just fine.... I was a despatch rider and delivered stuff all over Europe, which explains the high mileage. Did the usual maintenancs jobs and never took it apart or had the infamous 2nd gear problem. Thats because I put it in gear before I pressed the starter and mostly pulled away in 2nd gear.

If it aint broke?....don\'t fix it?....keep riding it!
