My son-in-law picked up a '94 Honda Magna 750 which has the stock 2-piece seat. His front seat seams to be fine but my daughter's back seat is way too hard. Probably doesn't help that she's about 100 lbs. We've got a northern Michigan color tour coming up and she won't be able to handle it if we can't find something more comfortable. They don't have $400 to $600 for a Corbin or something comparable. I've been trying to find the recommended Walmart sheepskin but they don't seem to carry it around this area. I've been looking at the Pro Pad http://www.thepropad.com/Sheepskin-P...-Prodlist.html but not sure if they'd make that much of a difference.

Thanks,
Steve

Are you looking at wal mart for the sheepskins or gel pads? The gel pads are in the automotive section somewhere around the seat covers and car cushions, sometimes you have to look and do a little digging but they are there normally...Should b bout 20 bucks..fyi, ive never seen sheepskin covers for bikes at wal mart...

Last winter I found a medium M/C riders gel with sheepskin cover on fleebay, it was new in package for $56 shipped, think it sold for $89 in web stores, works good, several yrs ago I did a xcountry on an 89 gl, I took along a pad I bought for another bike, I figgered I would switch between plain seat and pad added at each gas stop, rotating would ease the pain but after the 1st stop I added the pad and never took it off, it worked that well for me.

I don't have a gel pad, but look at sheepskin CAR seat covers ... cheaper if not the same price and you can get 2-4 MC seat covers cut out of 1 car seat cover. Cut to the shape you want with a half inch extra on the back to tuck under the driver's back pad. By not being strapped down you can pull it off in the rain. Just did a 1800 mi. long weekend with one and had no issues of sliding around.

Thanks
Pat

The walmart gel pad is not a solid pad, its more of a egg crate. I did not buy one, as it looked too cheap for what they are selling it for.

I have the Wally-World egg crate seat pad and it is great for me at 200 pounds. It has a small carrying strap in the front that will tuck in between the seat and the tank to hold it in position and the back will tuck in to stay in position. I do recommend that you remove the zipper puller thingy as it can scratch the tank if it gets in the right position. You can still unzip it for cleaning and it is in the automotive area/seat covers/cushions.

Steve,

I bought a sheepskin for around $25 or $35 at IKEA in MI. I don't recall just where the store was but we were with our daughters who live inMilan.

Im going to make a sheepskin cover for mine. I will add a few inches of memory foam in the seat areas. Memory foam is ridiculously expensive, but you can go to WalMart and get a memory foam pillow for a few bucks and trim it to shape.
