Nice Bike Scott!

When I was out riding one day I had stopped for a drink. A guy on a HD drove up and when he got off his bike he was shaking his arms like they were hurting, I asked if HD shook that much that it hurt his arms, he looked at me sternly and asked "Do you have a problem with Harley's" I said No, I don't own one so I have no Problems at all..... Have a nice day.....
Good one, so it sounds like he was a badass...Just wanting to fight.. Right...Most of those badass bikers are not trained fighters, a boxer would light one up in a hurry..And he might only weigh 150 pounds...

Most Harley guys are ok. I ride with a neighbor and my son who both have Ultra Classics. In the mountains I can run over them in the hills. They say"I just wanted to downshift!".

Scott... are those real live junipers in the background of the second shot? And that color... isn't that... I mean isn't that... sorta like... GREEN! North Carolina must be a garden of Eden... you have green living plants there!

BTW... the bike looks good too. Love, love, love that color!

Seriously... I am always hesitant to add defining characteristics that someone would be hard pressed to undo later... but that's me. I like my bike kind of plain.

Except for my preoccupation with LED lights...

Do what ya like and just keep waving at those Hardly riders anyway... you have more style now than they could ever hope to buy!

Down here in Texas you'd be El Hombre Grande! And a hit at all the parties around here... you could tell and re-tell stories of mythical far away occurrences like... water actually falling from the sky.

Maybe if I add a couple thousand dollars more of chrome, high end stereo, etc.

That is funny stuff.

No, it is actually pretty dry here. Yes it is usually very green here. But not as green as those Blue Ridge Mountains. You would love it, the minute you hit the parkway the temperature drops 20 degrees. Great place to be.

Dry... in NC? Not one drop. Not one. Here in San Marcos since last April.

I lived in Charlotte from 1996 to 2001.

Blue Ridge... rode it years ago in a 1973 Triumph Spitfire. But would love to come back again and run it on the wing. But I did make it up into NC this past summer...

None the less... that is a straight-up sharp looking bike you got there...

Thanks US385South,
I just spent the last hour looking at your site. I need to slow down and take some shots myself.
BTW, love the Photo stitching. I toy around with PS CS3. I do magazine advertising layouts exclusively with Photoshop.

I might try the windshield chop. Looks like you took 6-8 inches off. Right now I look through scratches about there anyway.

I was going to ask how it stood up in rain, but let's not go there.

Great bikes you have too, love the Aspy mine just has the emblem.

Cool? Either you got it, or you ain't!

I ride a "ballet slipper" of a bike....
I'm older than dirt....
I wear fluorescent green raingear....
I don't wear a thong on my head....
I've ridden in nearly every state, and in Europe....
I even carry an golf umbrella on the back....
I wear all the gear, all the time....
I deer-hunted with a 1500 once....
I ride until the snow forces me from the road....
I'm back out there as soon as the snow melts....
I also ride a butt-ugly KLR....

but....

I'm married to the most beautiful, most wonderful woman in the world, who sits on the back of every bike I've owned......

Am I cool? Probably not. Do I care? Only at Patriotic Guard gatherings, but I'm getting over it!

Oddly... it rained here today! We are soooooo grateful.

A word or two of advice on the windshield chop:

1.) I LOVE it. I really do not like looking thru the windshield... but that's just me.
2.) However... do not be hasty! It is very easy to cut too much. Take a 8 inches section of masking tape... stick it where you think you'd like to chop the top. Drive for a day or two. Re-adjust the tape until you find a place you can live with... then, and only then start cutting.
3.) Considering how much i actually ride in the rain... I have not found it to be an issue for me. Actually it's worse if it rains on the bike while it's parked.

Ride on brother!

Unfortunately, I already cut it. I was soooo inspired by your idea that I put making tape on the windshield, and did it.
I only took off 4 1/2 inches from the center. Just enogh to take out those bad scratches that were on top anyway. Filed the top with a fine file. Too the edge off the cut. Sanded with 320 grit dry, then 400 wet (spit actually), Then jumped to 1500 wet.
Then I took some acetone and touched the top edge.

Lastly I took some Novus to the entire windshield then Novus polishing/protectant.

I believe we will be ok... Raining here too!
It took that bloated looking upper windshield down to size..
NOW THAT IS COOL!! Well, so is my new Harbor Freight lift. Early Christmas gift from the wife.
