No sorry I have no idea what to tell you. If you get a year out of a rear tire you should be happy

I have just gone to the Dark side and reading the reviews here helped me make my choice. I love it so far. Pulls my trailer better and stopping is much sharper and just little stuff I am still learning on the handle of it. Had only one real scare pulling out of my driveway went into the grass and did not realize it had spun mud on the tire and when hit the asphalt is spun out almost form under me... I was a little nervous riding in the rain that day due to that. But when I got home I seen where it spun in the grass and covered the tire with mud and grass.
Ride safe have fun!!

Been in the dark side for over 3 years now. No problems. I like the idea of riding on a run flat tire while on long trips while pulling camper trailer.

I went darkside on my 1500's and never plan to go back to a MC tire.

I think on the 1200's though you can't find much if anything for a car tire unless you make some changes.
We have at least one 1200 rider here that runs a car tire, I think he changed his swingarm and wheel to a 1500 as I recall. I could be wrong, but I think that's how he got a car tire to fit on his.

Did that too with an aftermarket system. Very good idea when using a RF tire.

Just put an Austone taxi tire on my 97 1500. It feels great until I encounter our 'roller coaster' bridge on the turnpike. At 70 mph with a curve to the right, the bike gets very squirrelly when it hits the low spots between spans. Is this the tire or could there be another cause? Didn't have this problem before the new tire. Could the shop have left something loose?
