This wing looks fantastic......

What do you think........

It's one of the cleaner, older wings that I have seen.

Thats a great looking bike . From the looks of the bike you could onlyguess its been well taken care of .I'd have no problems with the mileage . My 94 is is running fine at 188+ K miles . I think the price may be a bit much for the year . Thats a decision only you can make though .

If it had proper care it is probably a very good gamble. It is my heartfelt belief that a well used Wing will outlast a rarely used low-mileage Wing. Keeping those fluids and moving parts moving seems to help them last longer. Less buildup of gunk in hard to address areas.

Vote one for year-round riding! Austone Darksider PVT (Passenger Vehicle Tire)

Most recent Wing: 128k+ on the 2000 GL1500 SE (Just totaled) due to being rear-ended...
Current ride (for now) 2015 Triumph Trophy SE

Avatar- 1963 Kenskill trailer

Previous wings: '78GL1000, 13k mile '77 GL1000 (resto at home, neat story!), '81 GL1100 Interstate.
Previous non-wings: CB360T, Suzuki GS550L, Yamaha 650 spcl (first bike!), Silverwing 500, Yamaha Spectre 1100, VFR700F, CB900 Custom.

I would not. I've bought/sold wings up to 140k miles.

The buyer of a higher mileage wing is always a better-educated buyer, and knows what to look for.

My name is Rusty. I'm an enthusiast of things that ride, drive and fly.

I agree with the others.

A bike that has been kept in constant use and well maintained will roll over the clock many times.

Disuse is what kills anything mechanical.

That one looks well maintained. But the price is a bit high for me for that age and miles. Try $3500 as your first offer, and be willing to go home to let him think on it. Of course, you might be able to negotiate to something under $4k and go home with it the first time you see it.

Price would be a driving issue for me... IF it were that bike, with pretty good records and not too sunburned... under 4K. I'd do it! It would be worth mentioning... that is a complete Corbin seat on that bike. Looks like Torquemaster exhausts... foot boards and lots of other farkles...

108,000? That is just when a Goldwing is starting to get broken in. Mine is running like a finely tuned machine(at 108,000 Miles). Oh yeah, It is finely tuned. As long as you know the maintenance history and it has been well cared for, that mileage shouldn't matter. They can go 200k and more. That one looks good.
