I will have to get a used kit. If i am looking online for a used kit do i need make sure it came off a 84 1200 GW or will that even matter? I don't wanna get something that will not work and waste the money for it.

Just a for instance, would this work for me?

I may stand corrected on this, but on a voyager kit built for a 1200 will fit a 1200 any year...Seems that someone awhile back bought one and had to do some major modifications to make it fit....There was a member at NASSIR 5 that bought a kit then seen kit wasn't going to work, so he made his own just using the axles and wheels,...Maybe someone can recall or know that member...Thiese kits are nice but if it came off of a Harley, or any other bike other than a 1200 look out....

they make an A, B, C, or D kit. the B kit is what fits a 1200. what is motorcycle specific though, is the mounting kit. you will have to havethe mounting kit for a 1200 or be real good at fabricating one.

Thank you very much for this information Redbaron!! Yeah it can be really confusing when you get used stuff.

Like on the tow pack i think you have to have the hitch or come off a 1200. I have a little time before I get one, so I am really looking around.

West Central Illinois

thanks again

voyager used to sell the mounting kits separately, it might be worth checking with them.
