The bike won't make similar demands.

IF this is true, that day was the best day of the rest of his life. It is all downhill from here. It will never get better and will most assuredly get worse. Unless, of course, she has an inexhaustable supply of really neat acrobatic tricks. I'm still voting the downhill theory.
