I got me NOLAN!

Edit to say though still just as great a deal, I found that these are not 103 helmets but 100E. I found the small hard to read label on them, they were in 103 boxes.

I love GOODWILL! I shop allot at thrift stores because the money is supposed to go to help people etc..
I get allot of good junk, I buy lots of junk like aluminum skillets with peeling Teflon etc.. because I can use the aluminum to make other stuff and it's no good for people to cook with once it starts peeling anyway.
I get allot of good stuff also of course.

Yesterday I was shopping with wife hitting thrift stores about 70 miles from home and I bought a bunch of junk, radio that does not work right, old skillets not good for cooking etc..
A pressure cooker with missing handle I can use for a model steam engine boiler and other stuff.
She was not to thrilled with me when we were leaving Goodwill and I spotted 2 great looking helmets behind the counter.
I jokingly asked how much for the helmets thinking they probably belonged to someone there. Wife gave me that look, you know what I mean!
So I looked at the one helmet, it cost too much, wife looking funny at me, etc.. I did not buy it.

So today I sent away the last little of my weeks budget that I had left to spare for a while. Not allot, but what I had left.
I been spending fast as I make it recently, maybe faster as I ain't making much fast anymore. LOL
So later wife mentions the helmet, says if I need it and I want it take a ride and go get it, she had the money. And this is just after she had said I did not really need to be buying a new $50 armor/mesh jacket!
Had to think on it a bit, I called they still had them, so I took about 150 mile nice ride and got them. I had to buy both as they did not want to break up the set.

I thought it was just a nice neat clean helmet with Intercom.
What I just got I think is 2 NEW, maybe demo/ floor model, Nolan 103 modular helmets WITH intercom setup! The extra's are still sealed in a package and inside the boxes!

I can't say what I paid for them, it was not cheap, but it was far far less than the $360 each Motorcycle Super Store is selling them for and mine have the intercoms that costs about $100 extra!

As I was strapping the boxes to the wing with bungees I saw the "sale price" sticker on the box, $319 each on sale from wherever they came from. So of course I had to look them up when I got home to see what I really got!

So hopefully I've done a bit to help a few people have a better Holiday recently maybe, and though I was not expecting anything in return I got a great deal on helmets I was never expecting to get nor could I have ever afford to buy them anywhere near normal price!

As they say, "What goes around comes around" I guess and also

I went into a local Goodwill and sitting on the upper rack was several MC helmets, and I spotted two like-new white Arai helmets. Way too small for me, but I snoozed and lost out on one, went back and bought the Medium helmet for $14.95, I sold it on ebay to someone in Spain.

My current Arai I found for $75 on CL, had been worn only a couple of times.

Hey, I felt it!

I found that at the end of the day I had a little more to give than what I had at the beginning of the day also. Know what I mean

I don't really know what the more expensive helmets are as I don't buy many. I go with a good but cheaper helmet normally.
Normally when I find helmets they are ok but not great at thrift stores.

I also have a problem I hate most modular and full face for being to enclosed and too heavy. I have a pretty nice one I just can't wear at all because I feel I can't breath in it.

That's something so odd and great about finding these Nolans. They do not seem to bother me like others do, at least not yet.
These were not really cheap to buy compared to just buying a decent new cheap helmet. I paid a pretty penny for these to be sure, but no where near the retail prices I've seen online so far.

I got a bargain to be sure, but they still cost allot.

Were they manufactured recently? (should say on the inside label) Risky to buy a helmet second-hand.

I've found the difference in money spent on a helmet is how it feels after 8 - 10 hours, there is a difference
