He wouldn't believe the study any way.

He'd have to produce a study first. But he can't ... he'd have to do some home work. I'll read anything lame splitters come up with. So ...?

Don't knock it if you haven't tried it. Oregon nearly passed a lane splitting law two years ago. It may come back up in the capitol next session. We don't need it as much as CA does but in the Portland area it would be helpful. As for people who think it's a bad idea there really isn't a whole lot of bodies and smashed bikes from the practice in CA. For those who think it should be banned, that's a pretty sad attitude, ban for everyone what you don't like.

.

I will say something about this thread. We have a diverse group here.

Opinions, experiences, wishes, hopes, backbone for standing for what they believe, willingness to listen, fortitude to stand fast on position, wanting to sway, wanting to belong, talking reason, trying to help, looking for common ground, sharing experiences on LS and interacting with other members.

I have heard people who will not put themselves in danger. These people also do not want other people to be hurt.

I like this forum.

Lane splitting is very common in Europe with all the scooters they have over there. As someone who was driving a car, I was a nervous wreck driving in fear one of these scooters would zip between me and another car/truck with only inches of clearance. Lane changes are very nerve racking as well. I am in the anti lane splitting camp.
