Or if you don't care what your bike looks like, then make your own for pennies:

I went to that website and it said they are now. $12pr. wow!!! $4.95 shipping to my zipcode. They look just like the ones i bought from Niehaus years ago at a higher price.

They have a spring loaded hook under that knob and can be installed in seconds plus u can open the hole to let hot air out or keep it all in.

EDIT: okay. now i am not sure what they cost for a 2000. They are on sale for $12 but not sure what years they fit. Maybe all. Scrolled way down and 98-2000 is $49.95. Might be best to call them if u are interested.

The lower vents definitely have more heat coming out when the dampeners are installed and when the thermostat ever opens up on mine. New thermostat and clean radiators don't put out as much heat as the old. LOL
Right side always has heat way sooner than left side. I just leave the left closed for a long time.

Really bad crosswinds blow the heat away from you but better to have them than not to have them. I don't wear gloves as much anymore. I just put my hands down by the vents for a while if they get cold. I don't usually ride if temps are below 45F unless I have to but does seem to happen occasionally. Ill M&G journey(235 Miles) to get there was chilly 45F, rain, and torturous crosswinds. Glad we had the extra heat when the wind didn't blow it away. Will have to get the tropical wife a heated suit for her not to complain. LOL

I have these and like them. Any additional warm air is better than nothing. With rain gear on I don't feel the heat, but when I am in jeans and it's cold, I can tell the difference. I have had them for years.
