My 2012 1800 turned its first year today. Almost 20k miles on it and longest riding time has been just under 7 hrs with stopping for fuel(miami and back). Seat comfort much improoved if I get rid of the wallet in my back pocket. No complaints and no issues-except it doesn't start as fast as the 1500 did. I know there were times that the 1500 would fire up with a half crank-this one takes a little more so I'm curious as to how that affects my battery later on. Even when warm(37 miles) it would still need to crank a little more like it was a cold engine- I will say engine doesn't feel as warm as the other one did but according to temp gage(stays right at halfway)its where it wants to be. Stuck in traffic and when cooling fans come on gage is just a hair over halfway(normal) so its hard to see that it is getting hot other than my digital oil temp gage will start to climb. My hourmeter(installed at 1300 miles) shows 390 hrs in that time frame. Still on original bridgestones and am quite confident that these will last another 10 or 20 k miles before replacing(best I did on 1500 with dunlop E3's was 45k front and rear). Only one accident (rear ended-previous post here) and no tickets. Fastest I've taken it (in order to get my spot on the highway) has been just under a 100mph but didn't stay there long before letting it back to 70! Definitely a nice ride and good investment. Way to go Honda!!!!!

I have a 3 year old 2012 that's been on a battery tender when stored. If it acts like it cranks slowly in a few weeks when I can finally start it, I'm buying a new battery for her.. I sure don't want to try to have to push start it if I get stranded. From what I've read on here, if your battery is weak it can cause lots of troubles. I definitely agree with you, the 2012 is a great machine!
