The 1800s do eat tires. I am using the Yoko non run flat, it's OK if you have enough air in it, Liked the michelin run flat better. Have abandoned the michelin front tire for the avon roadrider myself. Welcome to the darkside, have a cookie.

I love cookies. I was actually inspired to do this by you and youngandbald. My selection came from marks personal preference not that it is special but because I got so tired of trudging thru thread after thread of combos. It would be nice to see a thread that's is simply, what brand, what size , like or dislike and that's it.

Yes it would, not going to happen. Too many naysayers that can't keep their fingers away from the keyboard.

The michelin always cups pretty bad, but it does last a long time. The avon doesn't cup at all, is smoother but a little noisier, doesn't last as long but costs less and seems to have better grip.
example,

You might find a better price elsewhere.

I like that '

" better than the solid stripe on the E3 tires.

I need a new tire on the rear of my VTX 1300. The Dunlop that was on there when I bought the bike has 6000 miles and near done! What would you "Darkside " gurus (Dave0430,AZgl1800...) suggest/recommend? Back only, front and back? Does it require new rims and a whole bunch of other expenses in addition to the tires? Back is 170/80/15 and the front 140/80/17 on spoke rims.
Looking to do the deed when I get to Casa Grande ,Az in mid October. AZgl1800...any Phoenix shop suggestions?

Thanks.
