none that I am aware of...

the only recall is on brakes, and that includes every single 1800 built from 2001 to current models.

Have you heard of ghost shifting? read this

Happens on several year 1800 wings and most I have seen is on 06. BUT that is not to say they all do it. I think in 2012 Honda changed the gears so this wouldn't happen.

Any bike will do that, if you are not conscious of your toe action.

if I get in a hurry, and don't pay attention, every bike I have had will end up between gears.

Thanks guys, I will let him know. He has a lot of miles on 1200s and 1500s but not so much on 1800. He told me he has logged over 800,000 mi on the 1200s and 1500s.

2014 they changed up a couple of gears and other pieces.

If I\'d have known it would last this long I would have taken better care of it.

The 06 I own with over 54k miles has been trouble free. I don't believe there are any major differences from 2006 through 2010.

\'02 750 Honda Shadow Spirit
\'94 GL1500 ASPY 45K miles (my son rides it)
\'98 GL1500 SE 81K miles (I plan to sell it! ;( )
\'06 GL1800 ABS 24k miles
