Pop-up problem.

Every single time I switch from one thread (or forum) to another -- and I'm on here a lot -- I get the pop-up that says:

"Only secure content is displayed." Grrrrr. It seems to happen only on this site. If I ignore it, sometimes it disappears. I must have something set wrong.

Anyone else have this trouble? Anyone have any thoughts? TIA

Pete

this website was just switched over from unsecure to secure access just 2 days ago,

that is from http:// to https://

this is the first complaint that I have read of since that occurred.
for me, it has not changed anything in the way I view the forum.

I only use Firefox as a browser, will take a peak with Penguin browser and see if that has the same problem.

EDIT: that browser does not see the difference.
you can access the forum in both modes, if the secure mode is bothering you, delete the 's' from the link at the front, and hit the F5 key to refresh the page.

after that, you should see the website in unsecure mode, and that popup should be gone.

but, the question is still there, why are you seeing the popup in the first place?

the insecure link for this thread is:

https://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/...p-problem.html

click on that and see if the problem is gone.

I don't know if this will help but on my Galaxy tablet when I try to get on certain sites I would get a message that said UNABLE TO MAKE A SECURE CONNECTION, even when I was at home on my secure wifi,. I changed my wen browser to Google Chrome and I no longer have a problem. You might try changing your browser.

The only changes that I am seeing is that when I open the application it reverts back to the "default" layout. (I set mine to the light blue lay out)

I'm still going to the old way any time I log in, unless I log in by physically typing the address with the HTTPS.

And that "secure" connection is only good for one session.

Why ain't we ridin'?

i went and looked at your profile and it was set to Classic yellow as the Default.

So, as you said you wanted Light Blue, I changed it to "Light".... in the Admin profile it does not say light blue, just classic, dark, light....

let me know if you need it changed to something else.

however, down in the lower left corner, if you change it to a new preference, that should change your Defaults to that new preference. IF, you Logout of the forum.

if you just close the Browser, that new setting is not put into stone.
