Shadow 600 running problems

So Iím looking at getting an 88 shadow 600. The lady says that after riding it for a few miles it stalls out. Thatís all the info Iíve got so far. They think it needs a new choke. I donít think thatís it... any one have any ideas where to start??

Thanks!

Gas Cap? Possibly not venting properly.

Open the cap 'Burp' the system and see if the bike runs, Once the air rushes in it should start. The cap may be unable to vent, as it may need a good soak.

Could be the pulse generator, or...

... a clogged petcock, fuel filter, fuel pump or even one of the hoses could allow the bowl to fill when the bike sits, but not have enough flow to keep up with the demand when the bike is in use.

Why ain't we ridin'?

k
That's about like an old car I looked at for a guy, it had sat for 5 or 6 years and the battery was dead. He says "you think it's the alternator"?
You will have to get it to stall to begin to figure out why.
