Service Shop Manual for GL1200 Standard

I’m looking for a Shop Manual for my 1984 GL 1200 Standard. There is a New CLYMERS Manual on eBay for $33 and free shipping. Is this a good manual or should I keep looking for other options?? And what do you guys think is the best manual out there?? I will not be doing a engine rebuild, but for anything else.... . Thanks. This is the link for the manual. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F382511841155

I have the Clymer manual...somewhere.

Haven't seen it in a long time (30 years?) as I ended up buying the OEM manual and it was enough better to never need the Clymer again.

So, my suggestion is to find the OEM book. However, if you do wish to go aftermarket, I do think the Clymer is the best of that world. Just remember there are a lot of generalizations in it that won't apply to year-specific changes.

The Honda book can be found on-line in a digitized version. How's your printer?

Why ain't we ridin'?

I'll echo what Dennis said. The OEM manual is no doubt the best. Clymer's is the best of the aftermarket manuals. If you are planning an engine or transmission teardown, then OEM is a must.

If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lots of things. You've been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. Its having the right attitudes that's hard.

I have Clymer's & Hayne's & OEM, Clymer's is good but when researching an issue or planning a job, I consult all. When R&Ring engine to fix stator years ago, I only found one small mistake in Clymer's. I probably paid near $20 in the '90s for it, but if I needed it, $33 ain't bad. Good pics & drawings.

Thanks for all the advice. I purchased the Honda shop/service manual from eBay, used one . I paid $38 shipping included. I should have it by the end of the week. Thanks again.
