Great work. I’m about to do the same project on the 1984 GL1200 Standard ( same bike as your). What do you think is the best place for sourcing parts. The first thing I need to rebuild is the brake calipers , the brake and clutch master cylinders, and the clutch sleeve. Thanks. All the best.

eBay and Randakks.

Any parts crucial to functionality of the bike, I would say randakks is your best bet. Lot of good products there.

For brake stuff specifically I used K&L and Brake crafters pistons. All really good quality in my opinion (brakes work like new) and can sometimes be found cheaper on ebay. They have build kits for all the master cylinders and calipers. Even the clutch slave cylinder as well. You can find new master cylinder sight glasses on ebay too. check out the below to get started:

Nope! Found this seat on eBay. It was barely used, but made from the original seat pan. Bolted right on.

Very comfortable and a bit lower profile.
