Spent a week at a condo in West Yellowstone, actually a few miles south of there...
back in 78-79 winter.... loved it....
Snowmobiled all over the park.

It an be incredibly frustrating to go through Yellowstone on a motorcycle in summer, which is peak tourist season. Traffic can be stop and go forever - unless you get an early (shortly after dawn) start. NOT meant as a negative comment, just an FYI.

Labor Day is usually wall to wall in Yellowstone from what I've been told. We are planning a ride from So Cal thru Yellowstone and up to Glacier after Labor Day.

You know when they say "don't wear white after Labor Day"?

That's because the rescue workers in Yellowstone and Glacier won't be able to find you when you get snowed in.
