yup, and I have my LibreOffice set up to default to *.doc files so it is compatible all the way back to Word 97

Dennis, you ought to get it, it is free

https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

I just bought a Dell laptop with Win7 Home Premium on it.
It is an old one, 6 years at least.
It came with a fresh install of Win7 and the only optional programs on it other than the OS itself, were:

  • LibreOffice
  • Chrome

Destorer was not included, of all things.
