Sherwin and Mary, I have your 1200 trunk lid

Has USMC patch, brown/gold with scenery painted on both sides. Found in May on the southbound shoulder of MD 295, the Baltimore Washington Parkway. Some tabs broken off bottom, looks like it slid without tumbling.

How does a GL1200 trunk lid blow off, it's hinged and wind keeps it shut if anything. Was there a back rest with it?

Likely it flew off a load of scrap junk or remains from . a crash past?

Good that you posted anyway.

Maybe it fell off a trailer that was transporting a project someone purchased, flew out of the box of parts.

Hard to say how it got there but I'm glad that someone is trying to return it.
