So these are still available?

I got my 82 GL1100A last week and am slowly putting together a list of places to get all the control cables, brake cables, and the odds and ends to get her running for the upcoming summer season.

You need to send him a PM so he will get a notification that someone is inquiring about it. He is an OTR truck driver and doesn't spend much time on the forum.

I just wanted to take a minute and publicly state that lopeha (Andy) is a heck of a guy.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled shenanigans.

The good, the bad and the better.

The good.
Finally got my brake line in - it's fricking awesome. Color is perfect, has the right fittings. Going to install tonight and (inshallah!) I will be back on two wheels tomorrow.

The bad.
Delivery occurred 29 days from the time that I ordered the line. (ordered 08 March, delivered 06 April) Apparently, the original distributor was having issues with accountability/responsibility. Took 2 weeks before they said it even shipped (supposedly shipped 17 March), then couldn't get a tracking number out of them to find the item. Still waiting on that original shipment to see when (if?) it actually shows up in my mail box.

The better.
Andy came through for me - he battled the evil distributor, high and low, night and day... and when they couldn't/wouldn't cough up the tracking number, offered to refund my money and take a loss on the item. I refused to let him do so, we're all trying to make our bills etc.

At that point, with 26 days having come and gone (04 April), he had a new distributor make the line and priority mail it to me. Got me a tracking number the same day, I now have the line in hand.

I understand about balky vendors - no big deal. In the end, Andy came through for me. I will be purchasing replacement clutch/front brake lines from him in the future. Good Lord willing and the Creek don't rise, the other lines won't take a month to be delivered.

Thanks Andy! I appreciate the heck out of you.

Talked with Andy yesterday on the phone and that balky vendor has been Deep Sixed...
he is now going with the main distributor who stopped what he was doing to make sure that you got what you needed right away.

Hello Andy,
Do not require them as yet, but would you have a kit for 1980 Honda GL1100i? Thanks for your time.
