Hi all.

Back when I got my 84 Aspencade, a company made a bolt-on centerstand helper.

When the bike was totaled, I moved it to my 88 Wing. When I sold the 88

Wing, it was still on it. I can no longer find where I got it from or someone that

has one. It added leverage to get the bike on the stand for us smaller riders.

I am 5'2" and less than 170 and strain to get my 93 SE up on it's stand.

Thanks,

Joe

OK, found the receipt. Was an EZ-LIFT from Space Age Contols, Inc. Contacted them and they stopped making them in 1987. So, anyone out there have one they want to sell?

well you can't pull um up. there are some how toos on here you shouldn't need anything extra once you learn how to put um up they almost pop up on their own. sorry but it doesn't take a lot of strength.

put your right foot on the stand foot rest push down and make sure that both of the stand legs are touching and level. you may have to rock the bike a little to do this. put your left hand on the handel bar. grab your passenger side grab bar with your right.
straighten out yourright leg and pull up with your right hand it helps if you can roll or rock the bike back just a little before you do the pull. should pop up so quick you'd think someone helped you.
you could need to grease your center stand tube it could be binding in there. hope this helps.
i'm 220 5'11 and i had trouble until i got the hang of it. now i can make the bike slide back about 6" if i want too it comes up so easy. all in the technique. practice.

just do it and ask questions later. if you never start you\'ll never finish.

I used to be able to pop it up too. I also used to be able to pick it up if I dropped it, but I'm 66 now and lost a lot of upper body strength.

ONE other thing to add to the instructions that SKOTO1 discribed... TAKE IT OUT OF GEAR

I'M 70 last august and 3 years ago I could not put it on the center stand or get it off of it ... today i'm doing all the things I did when I was 20... whats different??? I go to the YMCA every morning and exersize 1.5 hrs.. I lost 65lbs, I'm off my diabetic meds, no longer need my hip replaced, they have lowered my heart meds and the women are looking good...

Life is great, Goldwings are great and so are the people here at Steve saunders Facts... Happy Thanksgiving Everyone

when are we gonna stop 1 Upping each other.
This site is great until we have guys laughing at others for not being able to do stuff or not knowing how to do stuff.
there are ways of giving opinions with out saying . MY 120 lb daughter can do it and you cant.
tannenba asked a simple question and we shouldnt sit here criticizing him. He shouldnt have to explain medical issures , or age . He asked if anyone knew of a certain part.
I guess teh answer is no. I can also lift mine with ease but I am 28 and 350lbs , I wont pat my self on the back for this incredible feat.

I have returned to the wonderful saunders forum after a 2 year hiatus. I realilzed the grass can never be greener.

Hey tannenba I have no idea what this even looks like . DO you think it would be something a welder can make and add to your stand.
Was it complex?
