My water pump bit the big one, and ther's too much summer left to call this a winter project.

This isn't a part that I'd normally buy used, but funds are tight right now so I'll take a chance. Anybody have an extra one lying around that they'll let go for a reasonable price?

It's too much PIA to put a used one in an 1100. Been there, done that. Leaked after a few weeks.

Thanks for the comment Newday, but things are so tight right now that if I had to get a new one it would have to be a winter project. Wife's been out of work for over a year and we're in a battle with her employer's Worker's Comp insurance. Her doctor (the Worker's Comp doctor)still has her on restrictions, her employer says she can't come back until the restrictions are lifted, the insurance companysays she's fine and has stopped the benefits. We're behind in everything right now except the mortgage.

Things will definitely get better next spring, so if I can get about 3 months out of a usedwater pump I'd consider it worth it, even if I have toput a new one on before I get it out again next year. Besides, I could probably use the practice wrenching.

The offer is still good, anybody out there with a working used pump, for a reasonable price, I'd like to hear about it.

Incidentally Newday, I was stationed at Pendleton in the late '80's and early '90's, so I'm pretty familiar with your area. I've probably put a couple thousand miles on bikes just going up and and down El Camino Real.
