Can't say he didn't try He was a superintendent and I work for him as a apprentice carpenter for a few summers and we built 3 houses together.. He was tough to work with, on my butt all the time.... Carpenter work was not for me even though I built a few more houses with someone else...

I didn't want to be a carpenter I wanted to be an electrician, even went to school for it, but while I was waiting to get a job, I passed the test for CHP, while waiting for that to happen a truck driving job came up that paid twice as much, and that was driving for a Institutional Food company, that got me into the food business.. Funny how things go...........

As a restaurant I tied to keep it as an old dinner, Blue Plate Specials, old Tombstone cash register, pay phone, cigarette machine, the antique Ford gum ball machine and the wall where cover in picture from the old days of Lodi donated from the old people that came in.. Picture of the 1920 H/S graduating class, the 1928 fire department, old Grand Pa Joe hand milking cows at his dairy stuff like that.. It was the oldest restaurant in town the city gave me a certificate of proof........ Sometimes I miss the old joint....
