Damn, that hurt!

Was using a screw gun/ drill to undo some nuts from some bolts. A nut jammed causing the screw gun to suddenly twist!
We have all done it, but this time....!!!!
Those two bones are twisted as well as broken.
Have to see an orthopedic surgeon Thursday to see what course of action is to be taken.
Lesson: Put screw gun on a lower torque setting when screwing/unscrewing stuff!

Ouch, man that looks like it hurts. Sorry to see that, and at the worst possible time of the year. Hope that don't keep you off the bike to long!

YIKES! That will leave a mark!
I was installing a central vac. in my house a few years ago, using a Makita hole shooter drill. (LOTS of torque) it bound up and slammed mu hand into the floor joist. Hurt like the devil. fortunately i was wearing gloves that cushioned the blow somewhat. Just got bruises, nothing broken.

People under estimate the amount of torque some power tools make. On deployment in 2011 I was drilling into a pump foundation and the drill caught and smashed my hand against the pump casing, looked very similar to OP's except only one bone was broken. I spent 2 and a half months in a cast. I was also a machinist. Didn't stop me from making or fixing stuff though.
