In 2013 my right hip and left knee were so bad I could NOT stand on either one of them to get on my LTD, so I got both replaced in 2014.
Got my strength back to the point I could ride, then the valve stem broke off the front wheel,
It was an amazing battle to get the tire off the wheel, they had just about fused together.
Then before I got all the things fixed on the bike I needed my right knee replaced. Recovering from that now.

My doc just uses a simple X-ray, if it shows bone to bone and bone spurs, then you are ready for a replacement. When he looked at the x-ray of my right knee in 2013 he said he would see me on that one in 3-5 years, well it was 4, He knows his stuff.

Dang I hope to ride this year.

Well the surgery has been less than stellar! Know Im using a cane because of weakness in the knee. Now looking at retiring since Im not going to be allowed to work at my job as it stands now. Went to the VA last week and they found some skin cancer so they skinned me like a deer and stitched me up. Waititng on the results on upgrading my VA disability rating which the wait is fine. Now the VA wants to do a MRI on my shoulder since they want to fix it since its been messed up since I was dumped out of a chopper on a hard landing. I just cant win for losing it seems. The only winner I see is my blood sucking lawyer since the knee was a On The Job injury. Me and the wife had a good talk and good to have her since her answer was we will meet whatever happens head on. Gotta love a gal that is like that. Anyway in a nut shell thats my week last week.
I am now going to try some shop stuff today since I been buying all sorts of stuff for the 1200. Bought a bike lift as well but not brave enough to push the bike on it yet. Anyway thanks for the good words from everyone, Hope all have a great new year.

Really wanted to ride today, was in the 60's and streets were just a little wet but decided not to. Just dont think I could move my foot quick enough to cover the foot brake if I needed to. The skinning was a 50% success, One spot they got the other was outside the procedure. Now got some sort of stuff to put on whole neck and its taking my skin off its not fun at all. I've really went down hill this year I tell ya, but I dont take stuff for granted as I used too. Hope everyone is doing well and has a great Holiday Monday.

Yea, we have St. Alphonsis. Not very big but all the services. It was done here locally at the hosp. The surgeon has had some bad ones and some good ones but he's always busy 3 days are just surgeries. I've read the reviews online on him and folks either love him or Hate him, in reality Im sure your going to have that. I've looked at the pictures during the surgery and after it was completed and it looks better, only thing I see is a small tear on my ACL that they didnt do anything too or for.
