Just about every job and addition of accessories, involves the seat being removed.

It surely isn't a big deal to make the seat removable with the use of a lock that utilises the ignition key

Particularly when just about every other bike in the world has this simple and practicle feature

That's one of the things I prefer about my brother's BMW. That and the easy to remove side panels that expose most of the bike. Oh yeah, and removeable boxes.

I like the way that I can take off the side of the tank/pod and get to alot of the electronics on my 1976 GL1000. The do not have this on my 1984 GL1200 Aspencade. I have to really tear into it to try to find out why I have no spark.
