I personally think the 2007 colors are rather bland. I would like to see Burnt Orange, Candy apple Red, Metal Flake Blue, etc Return.

I agree, I think Honda have gone with some really bland colours in recent years, my 89 1500 in Wineberry looks streets ahead. To me a Goldwing is Metalflake and chrome, it's what really makes these bikes stand out and the 1800 especially needs them (don't shoot me for saying that 1800 owners) The bland flat colours should be an option only.

I hope to upgrade to an 1800 this year but the colour has got to be right, any of the 3 that you have picked gkiesel, in sunshine the Orange or Candy red look great with the right balance of chrome/shiney bits

I agree completely. Even though I own a Titanium 04.
I'd like to see the old Ford Candy Apple Red or a Metal Flake British Racing Green. The bike will go much faster with a HOTTER Paint. Wing owners are Old not Blind!

I too, totally agree. If you buy a car, it is usual to have a huge range of colour options, along with "extras" options seperately. Since the Wings cost considerably more than many of those cars, it would be far better to have more choice.

If I were in the market for one, I would want metallic blue with the comfort seats, but no sat nav. Pumping stereo would be good too pleeeease!!

You can always strip it and have it custom painted to whatever you want for about $1500, clearcoat and all, match your trailer, etc.

That's what I did and I got EXACTLY what I wanted.

If you don't mind paying $22,000 bucks for a new GL, that additional expense should be trivial. Many folks put that or more in aftermarket mods anyway.

Want to have it your way? Do it yourself. Think of the $22,000 as being for a barebones bike. Isn't that the way it should be?

Rocky,
That is the way to go for sure... well except the part about the 1800 that is

Anyway, anyone who keeps their bike as clean as yours have been would often have the parts off anyway so getting the job done would be right in line with your other cleaning chores. And hey, San Diego is a great place to keep a bike looking nice weather wise.

Rained mine to death in western Washington and Oregon when I lived there and now I bake the crap out of the paint and plastic in the South.

Yep.. San Diego is the ticket, fur sure.

Watch out for the seagulls tho.

I think the GL1800 has had more basic colour options than any previous model. But I agree it would be nice to see two-tone options again, like when we had SE and Aspencade versions in the past.
