I sometimes wish there were side-stands on both sides.

There are parking lots and other parking situation thatcauses the bike to lean way to far to the left or in some cases not enough.

The value of our lives comes not in what we do or whom we know, but by who we are.

Not such a silly idea, I saw a Harley with this the other day, and as you say, handy when leaning to the left is more difficult.

If the parking area has a slope to it, then the center stand is not safe. The center stand is for level and hard surfaces only.

I just bought an extra side stand along with some other stuff for my GL1800. I was thinking of using it as a trailer tongue stand, but may see if it can be adapted for the right side of the Wing 1st.

I sure thought this one would have gotten more plugs. I would consider it a very practicle feature and not only because I thought of it. I thought of this need while riding my 2nd Gold Wing........a 1982 model Aspencade.

Sometimes an idea comes along that is so simple and practical that people don't trust it. I think this is one of those ideas.

I did look to see if the side stand could be added to the right side on my GL1800. It would take lots of fabrication beyond my capabilities to make it work. The extra GL1800 stand would have to swing forward when up as it is and that would be dangerous when moving. A whole new stand would have to be fabricated in addition to adding a way to mount it on the right side.

The neatest stand that I have ever seen was at a local car & bike show a couple years back. The owner had a modified dealer bike display stand mounted to the front down tubes. When flipped up and locked it was a set of hi-way pegs, and when flipped down it acted like an extra wide center stand.

Something like this is really in the hands of Mother Honda and I can't see them making the modifications to their tooling to introduce it, but hey, who knows, if a designer for them gets wind of this you never know!!

The idea would be to design a right side stand into a new model next generation Wing. Not to modify the current Gold Wing.
