A Georgia member ..BigCowHead has a 2wheel in front Goldwing conversion . This bike has a full body and I think was a marketed production conversion. I have seen other 2 wheel in front bikes if I remember correctly its a Raptor ? Seems it was a Kawasaki powered machine perhaps a 1000 . The frame was all tubular . quite interesting . And now for the real weird locally to me there are several front drive automobiles which have had the rear suspension redesigned so as to have a single wheel in the center of the body . They now sport motorcyle license tags rather than auto tags . It must be a tax gimmick for them, but hey a 2- 2.5 litre motorcyle ( ? ) with A/C and power steering , power brakes , windshield wipers , heater . Hmmm they may actually be onto something.

Saab used to make a 3 wheel car with one wheel in the back. 2 cycle I think.

Ask them why they discontinued them.

I think they might have been ugly. Yep that was one factor.

It also had all the usual car features for that time.

And ugly.

And they didn't sell well.

And they were ugly too.

Maybe not.... can't find it anywhere.... maybe it was just a bad dream.

they were ugly
they didn't sell well because they were ugly
there were disadvantages rather than advantages
they were not very dependable
and they were ugly

Seems as if everyone is getting into the act. with this one there couldn't be much storageAnd even might be a little underpowered http://www.autoblog.com/2006/07/14/t...tallion-trike/

If You don\'t have time to do it right, When will you find the time to redo it?

Being built in Troup, Texas, at the Motor Trike factory, using leftover Ford Pinto engines, it has the engine actually up front, the driver is stradling the transmission with his/her feet on either side, and at 30K, although it is kinda pretty, I'd rather have a GW trike. Can't really call it a motorcycle, the only thing motorcycle about it is the front wheel, all the rest is car parts as far a mechanicals go. On the other hand, 150 HP/1600 lbs, it should have plenty of power.

Hey Mad Meteor
You are Very Welcome to The Worlds Greatest Goldwing Forum.

Dont take any offence to my comment that was just my reply to the link thatAZgl1500 posted. As for the other members who posted im quite sure they didn't mean any offence It's just that most people have their own ideas on how a trike should look, and the trike that Christine rides would appear to bethe members favourite So stick around and enjoy the good nature of this great forum.

Hey Mad meteor,

Don't be offended. take a look at some of the other threads, lots of comments on hear are a bit tongue in cheek and you should take it all with a pinch of salt and get what yu want from the forum, it really is a great place and old Redwing is just plaincurmudgeonly half the time

Red Wing what are you trying to say? I don't think I like your tone. If you think this thread is rubbish then why not keep it to yourself? I'm new to this board but I am not going to stick around if that attitude is what I can expect from the members.

Actually this whole thread has been sort of "Bah Humbug" . I was trying to think outside the box but feel like I've been sort of beat up. I was hoping to get a conversation started but what I have received has mostly been negative. I was hoping to get a technical discussion going but have mostly received personal opinions.

Tntriker said, "So I don't know where Mad Meteor is coming from with his statement". I'm sorry you took that as a condemnation of your personal trike, it was not meant that way. I really did not enjoy your other commments either.

Redwing, Tntriker, Rudy, I don't think I am welcome here.

Come on, we are just having a little fun, don't get your feathers ruffled. It isn't directed at you just expressing our thoughts on your initial comment in a humurous way
YES, you are welcome on this forum just like everyone else, believe me. But take it from me, you can't take anything personal. Everyone likes to joke around and have fun. And redwing ?? he's redwing.
