Don't forget that once the elecronic parts go into mass production, they probably would be cheaper to make than the traditional throttle cables and pulleys.
Cheaper to make doesn't always seem to make it cheaper for us to buy.
I think sometimes it must be the distribution systems that drive up the costs for us. Parts probably have to make a profit several times before they get to us.
