The OEM wipers ruin the screen. Aftermarket one-wipe manual wipers are a good compromise between wiping off some rain while not ruining the screen.

Hi

Used scotch guard poly sheeting on windshield when it gets too scratched, which has not yet happened, I have it removed and replaced. Could do it myself but prefer a professional.

I have an f4 and I love it - I would also LOVE to have the gl1800 version of the gl1500 windshield wiper setup. If anybody has an idea for me, please let me know.

Thanks

As long as it can be used with an after-market windshield like my Tulsa which supersedes what an OEM Goldwing windshield is capable of.

I've just read that review here Steve, thanks... https://www.goldwingfacts.com/f4customwindshield.htm

Is the F4 much thicker than stock and does it fit in the windshield trim rubber properly?

One of the local GWRRA chapter guys has an F4 Customs screen fitted to his gl1500 Aspencade with a manual screen wiper fitted about two years. As far as I can tell it was holding up well and not scratched and the claims of tough seem to be accurate.
Next time I see this GL I will take some photos.

I use the anti-fog rain-off chemicals available in some stores, but I'm not quite happy with their low-speed water-removing capacity. Do the wipers work well, or is it waste of money?

I would like to try one of those Le Wipes ,I think just a flick or two of the blade in some of the very hard rains I have ridden thru would make me feel a lot better.
