Hi. Am a recent newey. I have a Lehman trike 1800. Personally I would like a 6th gear. I love the motor in its current configuration but it does drink a lot and from a personal point a 6th gear would make the long runs just that more comfortable and quiet

The opposed cyl engine config has a significant advantage in keeping the engine heat away from the rider. I HATE riding on really hot days and the wing (with air wings) is the most comfortable touring bike on a hot day.

that said, a 4 cytl opposed would be plenty of motor, cheaper, and lighter than a six.

if you are old enough you might remember when the gL1000 1st came out the dealers would put a nickel on it's side on the gas tank and rev the engine without having the nickel fall over. thats smooth enough for me ....
