MAKE THE BLOOM'N THING EASIER TO WORK ON.
Makes everything accessible for a laymen to R-&-R.

OR, require ALL dealerships to work on any age Goldwing and AT a reasonable price. (ok, time to wake-up... what a dream)

That's my $0.02 request.

I understand Dealers needing to make money to cover cost associated with overhead, payroll, benefits, insurance etc........ But wouldn't having the ability to work on all years of Goldwings be more profitable than just the past 10 years? I suspect not all Dealers are that way since I do see a few 1500's in the service department line up, but I am sure it's nothing major that needs working on........

Back in the 80's, working mechanics in the Yamaha shop they worked on any year bike. I was designated to the big road bikes. The problem I saw was after "X" years the bikes were DIY repairs and that made for some rather tuff diagnosis. In that respect I can understand the 10 year cutoff. But every owners mentality is different and proper questioning when the bike first comes in is sorta critical, it gives a better understanding what to look for in repairs. Also the DIY repairs will be different in different parts of the country.

If one could make an equation out of this, it might go like this.

Make a Gold Wing easier to work on although a great idea, most likely would result in a much simpler motorcycle. Back to the basics without all of the bells and whistles, which wouldn't hurt my feelings at all. Our insatiable desire for high tech gadgets is mostly what made the Gold Wing what it is today.

Making them easier to work on would probably close some of the dealers service departments. Or at least significantly reduce the number of service workers.
