I wish i could have built mine in shed-rear of houseas its insulated and heated but wouldfit down side of house when built.Garage is freezing even with thermals.Its just the enjoyment of riding whats keeping us motivated.

Rear master cylinder fine,i've left front brake connected,if you make sure you get all the air out and build a good pressure you'll have no probs.

I m on hubs on rear once shoes bed into hubs dont think will any issues with braking

i monted the reverse risister, today, and extended the wiring to it , i had to move it as the drive shaft would have hit it, by a half inch, so i tucked it away nicely under the rear mudguard,

Leading link front would give same steering,but you'd lose the standard look.When i ve got back on feet after all the spending,will look at the different options.See if something turns up on ebay.

i got the shaft back thismorning, then i welded it up and drilled and tapped the nuckle on the engine side, and put a 8mm grun screw in there , as my shaft is on an angle , and not straight, i have found in the past if i do not do this the shaft develops a whipping effect after a while , but this method stops that ,

Good idea on the drive shaft with the 8mm grun ( we call them Allen head set screws ) screw in there.
Seeing how it don't need to move any-longer with the Jag shaft slide.

Here's a thought that came to me as I was laying on my back underneath my truck last night:

Whenever you see a bike that has been triked, it inevitably uses some massive cast iron differential from some car or another. That, along with the driveshaft (your IRS being the exception here) leads to a massive amount of unsprung weight hanging off the back of the bike.

I was under my truck last night changing the oil, and looked up at the front differential (it's a 4x4 Ford Explorer). The front differential on this truck is nowhere near as large as the rear - probably half the size, and it looks like it's an aluminum casting. I'm sure it would have more than enough strength and durability required to push a motorcycle.

Would there be any benefit to using such a thing, if for nothing else than to reduce weight?

i have thought about that before, only the diff would turn the wrong way , it would turn anti-clockwise , instead of the clockwise thats needed, then there's the case of wishbones and mounting the diff, , i think everybodys idea of atrike build are different ,

Actually, on the Explorer front diff, it would turn the right way. The front and rear driveshafts turn the same direction (viewed from the back of the vehicle), so the front diff would turn the wrong way in a pull configuration (like it is installed), but turned around to push a trike, it would actually turn the correct way.

Or, just turn the diff upside down.

Everybody's idea is different? OK, here's mine: I think I'd run the driveshaft out of the bike directly into a large alternator, which would charge a set of NiCd batteries, which would in turn (through a throttle-controlled PWM controoler) power the DC electric motors mounted to each rear wheel, which would be mounted in trailing-link configuration for suspension. No axle, no differential, and lots of trunk space. First hybrid motorcycle!
