Looks like both Texas and Connecticut have banned the Slingshot as a motorcycle!!

...enclosed kotpr.
The 1500 has a enclosed motor.
Gotta love those mid-atlantic states.

One would think a company would make sure the concept was at least 50 States compliant, + any where else it would be marketed prior to starting production!!!!!
Having said that, to me, w/side by side seating and a steering wheel, it's a 3-wheeled car! But, then it's a long long way from being compliant w/"car"standards!

Sorry, those "things" sticking out below the sides of the fairing are called valve covers. Therefore the 1500 does not have an enclosed engine

I agree but you have to admit, it's a pretty cool looking 3 wheeled car!!

Like a few others I would like to test drive (Stallion, Can-Am) I would like to take a spin in the Slingshot, but don't think I would ever buy one...

Agreed. I was quick to throw it out without much thought.
I do recall talk (here) of the Stallion having similar regulatory issues.
Irrelevant, but I have issues centering around the Capital of those mid-atlantic states that muddy my thoughts at times.
....carry-on.

Interestingly in January 2013 this type of vehicle was redesignated in the UK as a motorcycle. Previously it was a three wheeled car.
