Spare Tire Rack

I got the spare tire rack at Napa Auto Parts. This rack is really to long. I have a short section of 2 x 4 placed on top of the draw bar, and put the rack on top of it. It works ok, I have no problems with it, it holds the spare and all I asked of it.... I think I gave about $12.00 for it. It does have the locking brackets. After you get the wheel hung, and tighten the nuts, ya spin these two brackets on, and when they are lined up, you put padlock through the hole.

Goodolboy1. Not really. I load the trailer before I hook it up to the bike. I test the tongue weight by hand before I hook it up. They trailer always tows fine. Last summer I towed it round trip about 1800 miles while riding 2 up. No issues at all.

Thanks Apatz, That's great to hear. I was starting to get a bit worried about the tongue weight. I doubt that I would ever get more than 35 or 40 lbs on the hitch. When I get the trailer all loaded up, I'll weigh the trailer tongue and see what I have, then during the ride if all trails well, I'll know I'm good....

Today I started painting. I've painted both fenders and they look pretty good. In this photo I have one of the fenders setting on top of my trike kit fender, just to show how close they guy at Napa Auto Parts got the the color to match up. I think he done a fine job matching the color. In the future I plan on painting the fenders on my etrike kit to match my bike. At this point I've shot the clear coat, I'll give the paint a few days to cure. So far I'm feeling pretty good about the project... Will ad more photos as I go along. If you want to see the cans of everything I purchased? I'll post a few....

I sure wish I had of done the paint and clear coat with a paint gun. I'm looking into getting a gun and a dryer. So the next time I paint the trailer, I'll be better prepared... This is the first time I've ever done any painting from a rattle can (s)
