Ok so starter solenoid is bad. The next thing down the line is the starter! It turns over twice, pauses, and then turns over once more. Wait 3 seconds and repeat. Ideas?

I have not checked for it yet. The original wiring was pretty bad so I'm trying to make sure the ignition wiring is back to normal. It is a huge step that I am getting any power past the key.

Isn't it as simple as buying a new ignition switch if the key gets lost? That's what I am having to do for my bike. Seemed oddly easy as compared to switching out a car ignition switch.
