I have one and have used it several times... Depending on the issue, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't... Definitely worth having one around for the few bucks it costs...

1988 and 1989 were the only 1500's to suffer from drive-ability...

Congrats John, looks very similar to Asus ROG GL752U except your SSD is larger and my co-processor is a GTX 960M... Have been very satisfied with mine and this is my second ASUS laptop...
