The search function here is your friend, many threads about this. Drop the exhaust on that side and remove the exhaust stud closest to the starter and it will come out.

Does anyone know of any legit places that sell salvage bikes ? I have a friend building a spyder type trike and he is looking for a 1500 or 1800 (because he wants the reverse on it) . thanks, John

Well I messed with it some today and got it working better but still no where as good as the cassette adapter. GLHonda may be right the audiovox has a ground loop isolator which the scosche does not...
