That Amazon bracket will help a lot of others do their conversion.
The spacer I used for the radiator hose, also came from a short block Chevy.

No it gives you access to the two bolts that hold the false tank on in the front.After you take those 2 bolts out throw them away. The 2 bolts at the seat will keep the tank in place.

Clean the area good and spray some white foot powder on the motor. The leak will make the powder leave a trail to the leak.
