The GL1100 timing is electronic and I think nothing can be done about it.

I put on some Jardines, which are loud and less restrictive than stock pipes. The bike ran fine without re-jetting.

Sometimes the needles pin to the right with a bad regulator.

Bottom line. With a fairing in place, it is a real bitch to replace the voltage regulator. You have to remove the gages.

I agree with above; get some stainless brake hoses. Master cylinder could be bad as well some grounge on the rotor. You have linked front/rear brakes.

The volt meter is probably lying to you....
