  1. 87 GL1200 Interstate Lower radiator hose 0-Ring Dorman kit replacement

This is a great contribution. Thank you for the information. One never knows who will stumble across this on the Internet and have it make their day.
  2. Radiator Cleaning and Preservation.

    Goldwing Technical Forum
I've just had my XJ-S radiator redone at a local rad shop. I think I'd call one and ask. Maybe having a pro clean it out would be helpful even if it's a couple of bucks.

  4. GL-1800s over 100k miles

    Goldwing Technical Forum
Thanks, all. Glad to be back. 5+ months ago I lost one of my Triumphs to an accident, similar to what John encountered. And, as John's, I can't/won't post any details for a while. I can say that I'm now up and walking. It's been a while since I could without significant aid. I'm going to...
  5. Mardonna - very ill - passed away 1/24/2017

    General Motorcycle Discussion Forum
John: I'm so sorry to hear about this. I've been off the forum for a while as I haven't owned a Goldwing in a few years. My thoughts to you and your family. Rusty.
  6. GL-1800s over 100k miles

    Goldwing Technical Forum
I'm back into looking at Goldwings. After having owned more than 60 GL-1200/GL-1500 bikes, the new depreciated prices on GL-1800s has me looking at affordable used examples. Just like with the 1200/1500, 100k miles is a big hit in price. I know the 1200/1500 like the back of my hand, and the...

  10. Front Brake Reservoir - 82 GL-1100 Standard

    Goldwing Technical Forum
Thanks much, guys. With that information I was encouraged to get my largest flatblade and provide the most widely-distributed force that I could. It worked, and I have the reservoir undamaged and out. Now I need to pick-out the o-ring, and re-assemble! Thanks so much for all the help!
  11. Front Brake Reservoir - 82 GL-1100 Standard

    Goldwing Technical Forum
I'm working on a 1982 GL-1100 standard for a friend, and determined that the front brake master has a minor leak between the reservoir and the body of the master cylinder. I purchased a new O-Ring, Honda 45516-166-006. I plan to remove the reservoir, replace the o-ring, and...

All the smart guys hang out in the Technical section. How about re-post this there?
  13. Request for advice on u-turns

    General Motorcycle Discussion Forum
I didn't read all the pages of the thread, but has anyone recommended counter-leaning while on the bike for U-Turns? It's quite useful. If you lean contrary to the turn, the bike leans further in the direction of the intended turn and tightens the circle effortlessly.
  14. Around the world, for Children with Cancer

    General Motorcycle Discussion Forum
Yesterday late afternoon, my wife and I left the house, with no particular purpose, and ended up in the touristy-area of town. We were walking along, and saw this nice GS up on the sidewalk. It's owned by Eli Coory, a journalist from London. He's got a Facebook page at...
  15. Goldwing Oil, Diesel Oil Analysis

    General Motorcycle Discussion Forum
This is fun to watch unfold. That said, I change oil around 3,000 miles, (if not sooner for the bikes that do trackdays). I could probably run vegetable oil, and have no ill-effects.

    General Motorcycle Discussion Forum
Shifting at 2,500 RPM? Or earlier? Yeah, it's kinda like this: Try going North of 4,000 RPM sometime, and see how it behaves. It's like a turbine that provides power as predictable as a rheostat.

  19. Goldwing LTD Helmet Bag

    For Sale/Wanted Forum
During a sort-out I found this helmet bag. It's an authentic Honda Goldwing LTD helmet bag, and they're difficult to find at all, much less to find in excellent condition. I began to put it on eBay but I'd rather it go to someone from here, that understands what it is, and how to appreciate...

    General Motorcycle Discussion Forum
I really like the ideas, and I like the design. I'm with it right up to the point that a paramedic has to scan a QR code and find a screwdriver. You lost me there. Give this a much more intuitive release-system for a first-responder, and you've got me back. As always, thanks for the cool find!
